The programs used in this project were potter and pizza maker. The main intent of this project was to extenuate the idea of a hearth. The hearth of a home is usually found in gathering spaces such as the living room, and can provide a source of heat for the entire house. The hearth in this project was used not only as a means to bring together the two programs, but was also used as the main oven of both the potter and the pizza maker for their own profession. The hearth was the large mass that visually anchored down the entire project, and is seen from every part of the house in doing this the hearth becomes an omnipresent mass.
